The Working Holiday New Zealand program allows you to work legally in the country for up to 12 months, even extending your stay as you see fit within that limit, immersing yourself in New Zealand culture through a working holiday visa.
Through the visa granted by this program, you can work for up to 6 months with the same employer and study for up to 6 months.
Requirements
- Be between 18 and 35 years old and have Canadian nationality.
- Traveling with children is not allowed.
- Have a return ticket or demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to purchase your return ticket.
- Have a minimum of NZD $4,200 (demonstrable) to cover your expenses if necessary. This doesn't necessarily mean you will spend this amount.
- Travel to New Zealand with the primary intention of a vacation, with working or studying as secondary purposes during your visit.
- Have travel insurance for 12 months.
- Not have had a previous New Zealand working holiday visa.
You can apply through one of these program options:
Independent Option
We take care of the management and/or orientation to obtain your visa, we manage everything necessary for your trip, guiding you on your arrival at your destination and “welcome pack” during the first days and “job assistance” or we manage the job you have to obtain the visa, if applicable.
Standard Option
We handle the management and/or guidance for obtaining your visa, taking care of everything you need for your trip and guiding you upon arrival, providing a "welcome pack" during the first few days, and offering "job assistance" to help you secure a job.
Placement Option
We handle the management and/or guidance for obtaining your visa, ensuring you have everything you need for your trip, guiding you to your destination, and arranging a job offer for you before you depart from your home country.

"Welcome pack" includes accommodation, program-related procedures, and/or cultural immersion activities and depends on the program option and destination. This service does not apply to the United States. For more information, you can review the "Conditions" section.

"Job assistance" is a service that provides guidance in job applications. For more information, you can review the "Conditions" section.

- Fruit picking.

The Placement program includes:
- Assistance and guidance for the duration of your stay.
- A confirmed job offer (subject to availability).
- Guidance and support for visa processing.
- Airport transfer and two nights of hostel accommodation in Auckland with breakfast included.
- Guidance for opening a bank account.
- Handbook and information about New Zealand.
- Assistance in obtaining an IRD number.
The Standard program includes:
- Assistance and guidance for the duration of your stay.
- Assistance and guidance in finding a job (Job placement service).
- Guidance and support for visa processing.
- Airport transfer and two nights of hostel accommodation in Auckland with breakfast included.
- Sponsor orientation.
- Guidance for opening a bank account.
- Handbook and information about New Zealand.
- Calling card with NZD$ 5.-
- Assistance in obtaining an IRD number.
- 24-hour emergency number. Social events (pub nights, concerts, movie nights, etc.)
The Independent program includes:
- Assistance and guidance for the duration of your stay.
- Application to three job options upon arrival for application during the first month. This does not guarantee a job.
- Guidance and support for visa processing.
- Airport transfer and two nights of hostel accommodation in Auckland with breakfast included.
- Guidance for opening a bank account.
- Handbook and information about New Zealand.
- Assistance in obtaining an IRD number.

- Living expenses in New Zealand (The New Zealand government requires visa applicants to demonstrate solvency of NZD$ 4,200.- for these purposes, contingencies, or tools for work. These expenses can help cover your accommodation, transportation, meals, etc.)
Prior English Course
Before starting your work program, you can take an English course that allows you to improve your knowledge before beginning your job search. During this period, which can range from 3 weeks to 6 months, you can also look for a job, and we will provide guidance. Among the course options we offer, there is the option to:
- Take the course in up to 4 different cities in New Zealand.
While you are taking the course, we will assist you in finding part-time employment.
Short Term Certificate
Before starting your work program, you can obtain a diploma or certificate. To do this, you must have a level of English that allows you to attend classes. During this period, which can be up to 6 months, you can also look for a job, and we will provide guidance. If you are interested in taking one of these courses and do not have a sufficient level of English, you can start with an English course and then continue with the diploma or certificate. You should check availability, and some of the courses we offer are:

Diploma in healthcare + internship (upon completion of the study, we can arrange a 1-year visa for paid internship).

Work & English
This program option is ideal for participants who do not have a working holiday visa and allows you to study English and work part-time for a period that can range from a minimum of 3 months if you wish to have the option to work, up to a year. We will guide you in the job search. Under this option, you can choose to take the course in one or different cities in New Zealand and receive assistance in obtaining a job while you are studying.
