Hilton Garden Inn Dublin City Centre is a modern riverside hotel located at Custom House Quay in Dublin’s Docklands. The property offers comfortable accommodation, an all-day restaurant and bar, meeting facilities and convenient access to the city center, railway stations and Dublin Airport transportation. 

Job Positions

Location: Custom House Quay, Dublin 1, Ireland

The following figures are approximate planning estimates based on current Dublin hospitality salaries and Ireland’s €14.94 adult minimum wage from January 1, 2027. Final pay and contracted hours must be confirmed by the employer.

Weekly hours are estimates and are not guaranteed. Schedules may include early mornings, evenings, overnight assignments, weekends and public holidays.

Receptionist

  • Welcome guests and complete check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Process payments, deposits and room charges.
  • Manage reservations, telephone calls and guest correspondence.
  • Explain hotel facilities, transportation and local attractions.
  • Respond to guest requests and assist with basic complaints.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance and food-service teams.
  • Maintain accurate guest and reservation records.
  • Provide professional service during morning, evening or overnight shifts.

Strong English, communication abilities and basic computer skills are normally required.

Food & Beverage Assistant

  • Welcome and seat restaurant or bar customers.
  • Take orders and explain food, beverage and allergen information.
  • Serve meals, coffee and alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Prepare tables and service stations.
  • Clear, clean and reset dining areas.
  • Process customer payments when assigned.
  • Restock supplies and assist during breakfast and busy service periods.
  • Follow food-safety and hygiene procedures.

The hotel’s Honey Fitz Restaurant & Bar operates throughout the day, with breakfast beginning at 6:30 a.m. on weekdays and 7:00 a.m. on weekends.

Kitchen Porter

  • Wash dishes, glasses, utensils and kitchen equipment.
  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely.
  • Maintain clean floors, work surfaces and storage areas.
  • Remove waste and organize recycling.
  • Receive and store kitchen deliveries when requested.
  • Assist with basic food preparation and stock organization.
  • Follow HACCP, hygiene and chemical-safety procedures.
  • Support chefs during busy breakfast and dinner services.

Housekeeping Assistant

  • Clean and prepare hotel bedrooms and bathrooms.
  • Make beds and replace linens and towels.
  • Replenish toiletries, beverages and guest amenities.
  • Vacuum, dust and sanitize assigned areas.
  • Clean corridors and other public spaces when required.
  • Report maintenance problems, damage and lost property.
  • Organize linen and cleaning supplies.
  • Meet the hotel’s productivity and presentation standards.

Transportation

  • Areas connected by DART, Luas or Dublin Bus may provide more housing alternatives than the immediate city center.
  • Airport pickup and employee transportation have not been confirmed.
  • Airport and sightseeing buses stop outside the hotel.
  • Connolly railway station and Busáras are located nearby, providing access to trains, buses and the Luas Red Line. 

Employees assigned to early breakfast, late restaurant or overnight reception shifts should verify that public transportation is available at their scheduled times.

Area Description — Dublin Docklands

The hotel sits on the north bank of the River Liffey in Dublin’s Docklands, close to the Custom House, EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum and the Convention Centre Dublin. The neighborhood combines historic buildings and waterfront promenades with modern offices, restaurants and cultural venues.

Temple Bar, Trinity College, O’Connell Street and the principal city-center attractions are within walking distance or a short public-transport journey. Participants can also visit the Jeanie Johnston ship, Samuel Beckett Bridge, 3Arena, Grafton Street and Dublin Castle. 

For international participants, the Docklands provide a central and well-connected environment with regular contact with visitors from many countries. It is an excellent location for practicing English and experiencing Dublin’s social life, although accommodation costs should be carefully considered when preparing a monthly budget.
